My role in others' lives is a role I carry with great conviction. I have 7 children - 6 were adopted from the United States and South Korea, and one biological child. I personally have dealt with grief, infertility and miscarriage, as well as pre and post adoption issues.
My husband and I have also been serving as a host family for almost 2 decades now. We have taken in students and adults from several countries including Korea, China, Luxembourg, Spain, Liberia, and more. I have helped high school and college-aged individuals who are searching for their purpose and dealing with adjustment and anxiety issues, and I have mentored individuals and provided them with leadership growth skills.
I am a skilled, caring, compassionate, sensitive counselor who is committed to giving you exceptional care.

Over the years, we have enjoyed hosting many students from abroad for either short-term visits or for the entire school year. I enjoy spending time with my children and grandchildren at our bi-monthly Sunday noon dinners. I play the piano two services a month for my church. I am currently one of the leaders for Apples of Gold, a teaching program for young women and mothers, that meets at my home for twelve weeks out of the year. I love to read and kayak. I love to visit my children and grandchildren that currently live in California, Illinois, Colorado, and my sisters and their families in the states of Illinois and Wyoming. I love to travel - especially in the Caribbean - and I also spend a few weeks in Florida in the winter. I am currently in the process of remodeling and updating our home.
